Farid Bassyouni

Farid Bassyouni is the Head of Real Estate Investments at Esterad Bank and a member of the bank’s Investment committee. He is an experienced Investment professional with a successful track record in sharia compliant deal origination, structuring, acquisitions and exits . He was previously the head of Investment Management at Qatar First Bank where he was part of the executive management team that developed and executed the fee income-based business model and Investment strategy. He was responsible for setting up, managing, and developing the Investment management platform and growing the Assets Under Management portfolio in the North American & European Real Estate markets.

He began his career in Capital Markets as a Fixed Income and Derivatives trader and held several roles at Standard Chartered, Samba Financial Group Saudi Arabia, Ahli United Bank Bahrain, and CIB Egypt. Farid holds a master’s degree in management from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and an undergraduate degree from Northumbria University in Newcastle.
